Mick Jagger: 'Fans Don't Want A New Rolling Stones Album'

The band's last release was 2012 greatest hits album Grrr!, which featured two new songs, and their last studio album was 2005's A Bigger Bang.
Jagger has revealed the rockers have been toying with the idea of making another record, but he fears fans now only want to hear the band's classic hits.
He tells USA Today, "It would be nice to have a new album, but people don't like the new album when you play it on stage. They glumly look at you. 'Ok, it will be over in a minute.' It's not a good excuse, but it's the truth and has to be said."
However, guitarist Keith Richards hopes the frontman will change his mind about a new record once the veteran musicians conclude their upcoming summer (13) tour.
He adds, "The time to record a band is once they've been on the road a while so they're hot. We'll think about that while we're doing this (tour). The world needs more Stones records. So do I."
The band kicks off the 50 & Counting tour in California next month (May13).
