Rolling Stones 2012 concerts in New Jersey; 'Crossfire Hurricane' NYC premiere
Rumors have resurfaced that the Rolling Stones will be doing 50th anniversary
concerts in London and in the New York City area in the last two months
of 2012. There are now dates for those show that have been reported but
not yet announced or publicly confirmed by the Rolling Stones.
Meanwhile, HBO is hosting a premiere of the Rolling Stones official
50th anniversary documentary, "Crossfire Hurricane," in New York City on
November 13, 2012.

The Rolling Stones have not done a concert since August 26, 2007 (at the London's O2 Arena), at the end of the tour for "A Bigger Bang."
There have been ongoing rumors that the Rolling Stones will do a limited number of 50th anniversary concerts in 2012. In August 2012, Billboard.biz reported that the Rolling Stones will be doing concerts at the O2 Arena in London and the Barclays Center in New York City's Brooklyn borough in November 2012, but the report did not include any specific dates for when the concerts would take place or when tickets would go on sale.
Showbiz 411 reports: "So what’s been the delay? Money, money, money. The Stones want it. Richard Branson is putting up $25 million to make all this happen with concert promoter Paul Dainty."
In October 2012, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards hinted to Q magazine that these 2012 concert dates with the Rolling Stones will be happening: "We've got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can't talk about any of that at the moment. They put the gag on me on this. You can hint!"
In other interviews, Richards has also hinted that the Stones will tour in 2013.
In a July 2012 interview with the London Evening Standard, Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger said that the Stones would be doing concerts in the autumn of 2012, but he declined to give further details: "In the autumn ...You will definitely be seeing us all together soon. It's been great fun being back together and there are a lot of memories in here. I can't believe it's been 50 years. We've been hanging out together, seeing quite a bit of each other and we want to do some gigs."
The Rolling Stones posted this message on Twitter on September 19, 2012: "Dear fans, no Rolling Stones gigs have been confirmed or announced. Do not buy tickets from the SongKick website, or anywhere else."
As for the New York City premiere of "Crossfire Hurricane" on November 13, 2012, it has not been announced if the Rolling Stones will attend that premiere.
The Rolling Stones will attend the world premiere of "Crossfire Hurricane" at the 2012 London Film Festival on October 18, according to announcements made by film festival and the Rolling Stones.
As previously reported, the Rolling Stones announced that "Crossfire Hurricane" (directed by Brett Morgen) will be released in cinemas for a limited time in October 2012. Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the movie on DVD and Blu-ray in November or December 2012. HBO will have the U.S. television premiere in the autumn of 2012, on a date to be announced. BBC 2 will have the U.K. television premiere. All of the dates for the releases and TV premieres are to be announced.
In late April/early May 2012, the current members of the Rolling Stones (Jagger, Richards, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Ronnie Wood) gathered for rehearsals in the New York City area. The rehearsals were reportedly filmed for the documentary.
In December 2011, former Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman and former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor did jam sessions in London with the current lineup of the Rolling Stones. These sessions will also reportedly be in "Crossfire Hurricane."
"Crossfire Hurricane" isn't the only Rolling Stones documentary set for release in 2012.
ABKCO announced that it was releasing the Rolling Stones documentary film "Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland 1965," which had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival in New York City on September 29, 2012. On November 6, 2012, ABKCO is also releasing the movie on DVD, Blu-ray and as a super-deluxe edition box set that will include a DVD, Blu-Ray, 2-CD set and a vinyl LP.
On August 23, 2012, the Rolling Stones confirmed that they were at a recording studio in Paris.
The Stones later announced that during those sessions in Paris, they recorded two new, original songs ("Doom and Gloom" and "One More Shot" which will both be on the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary greatest-hits collection titled "GRRR!" "Doom and Gloom" (formerly titled "Gloom and Doom") and "One More Shot" (formerly titled "One Last Shot") are the first new and original songs to be released by the Rolling Stones since the 2005 album "A Bigger Bang." "GRRR!" is set for release in the U.S. and Canada on November 13, 2012, and in other countries on November 12, 2012.
