The Rolling Stones Release Trailer for ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ Documentary
Academy Award nominee Brett Morgan directed ‘Crossfire Hurricane,’ gaining unprecedented access to the band and never-before-seen footage to tell the complete history of the legendary British rockers. The film tells the story of the Stones from their roots in London’s blues scene, to their rise through the chaos of drugs, excess, musical innovation and commercial success on a worldwide level.
The film’s trailer itself is a timeline of the Stones’ career, alternating early black and white footage of the fresh(er) faced musicians in suits and later film of the group in their wild ’70s costuming to present a visual travelogue of the band’s history.
“For anyone who wants to experience the band, this is the film that will defy convention and create a sonic tapestry to transport viewers into the world of the Rolling Stones,” Morgen says in a press release. “The film will deliver the original, bold, sexy and dangerous flavor of the iconic rock band.”
‘Crossfire Hurricane’ will premiere at the London Film Festival on Oct. 18.
