New Mick Jagger bio to unveil love life and 'enduring' relationship with Keith
Author Phillip Norman, who has written two previous books on the Beatles “Shout” and “John Lennon: The Life,” will detail Mick Jagger's love life and his long trail of women, his relationship with Keith Richards and his human side in his new biography of the Rolling Stones singer out Oct. 2, the publisher HarperCollins said Tuesday.
"Mick Jagger" will show the Stones' lead singer as “human, vulnerable, often impressive, sometimes endearing,” the publisher said. Among the subjects the book will cover are his 1967 drug trial, his unpublicized role at the Altamont festival, the women in his life from Chrissie Shrimpton to Jerry Hall “whom he has bedded but not always dominated” and his enduring relationship with Keith Richards.
“Mick Jagger” is “an extraordinarily detailed and vibrantly written in-depth account of the life and half-century-long career of one of the most fascinating and complex superstars of rock music—the most comprehensive biography to date of the famously enigmatic musician,” according to the publisher.
Norman's previous book, “John Lennon: The Life,” was called a “haunting, mammoth, terrific piece of work” by New York Times Book Review.
