Andrew Loog Oldham is doing Q&As in New York City to promote 'Charlie' movie

Andrew Loog Oldham, who was the Rolling Stones' manager from 1963 to 1967, is doing public Q&As in New York City to promote the documentary film "Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland 1965." Oldham is a producer of the original 1965 version of the film.
As previously reported, "Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland 1965" will have its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 29, 2012, at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. An encore screening will take place on October 3, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The New York Film Festival screenings take place at the Walter Reade Theatre in New York City. Tickets went on sale on September 9, 2012.
It has not been announced if the Rolling Stones will attend the premiere, but Oldham will do a Q&A after the premiere on September 29.
In addition, Oldham will do a Q&A moderated by Steven Van Zandt after a screening of "Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland 1965" at the 92nd Street Y's Kaufmann Concert Hall on October 5, 2012. The screening starts at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets can be purchased at the 92nd Street Y website.
The movie's TV premiere will be on a network, date and time to be announced, but it should be in the autumn of 2012.
On November 6, 2012, ABKCO will release the movie in these three formats:
  • DVD
  • Blu-ray
  • Super deluxe box set that will include a DVD, Blu-ray, 2 CDs and a vinyl LP.
ABKCO has announced that the director's cut of the movie, the producer's cut of the movie and the 2012 version of the movie will be available in all of these formats.
Peter Whitehead directed, photographed and edited the 1965 version of the movie.
The 2012 restored version of the movie was directed by Mick Gochanour and produced by Robin Klein.
