Ronnie Wood hints the Stones will do autumn 2012 shows; he books more solo gigs

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has once again hinted that the Rolling Stones will be performing in 2012. This time, he has given October and November as a possible time frame of when it will happen. He made the remarks on May 14, 2012, at the 2012 Sony Radio Academy Awards, where "The Ronnie Wood Show" came in second place for Best Specialist Muusic Programme. (BBC Radio 2’s David Rodigan won the award this year.)
According to The Sun, Wood said: “It looks like we are going to be doing more stuff. I am keeping October/November free, that’s what I’ve been told. I’m just awaiting more information.”
As for the rumor that Rolling Stones had studio rehearsals in Weehawken, New Jersey, in late April/early May 2012, Wood confirmed that the rehearsals happened, but he said that the studio time was not to write or record new songs. “New ones? Are you joking? We are familiarizing ourselves with our back catalogue and have only scratched the surface.”
Meanwhile, Wood is continuing to do solo performances. On May 15, 2012, he performed at the Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraiser, hosted by Heather Kerzner, at Claridge's Hotel in London.
On May 18, 2012, he is scheduled to perform in the VIP room of the Marriott Hotel in Cannes, France.
At the Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraiser, Wood donated an original painting portrait that he did of his former Faces band mate Rod Stewart. The painting was auctioned at the event, and Wood's longtime friend Kate Moss served as an auction MC. Wood was accompanied to the event by his girlfriend Sally Humphreys.
Photographers snapped pictures of Wood arriving at Claridge's Hotel, and he was being his own roadie, since he carried his guitar to the gig.
