'Crossfire Hurricane' DVD/Blu-ray No. 1 in U.K. but U.S. release delayed

In January 2013, the Rolling Stones' "Crossfire Hurricane" DVD/Blu-ray went on sale in multiple countries, including the U.K. and Japan, but the U.S. release has been delayed to a date that will be announced. Eagle Rock Entertainment's Eagle Vision is distributing the "Crossfire Hurricane" DVD/Blu-ray, which was originally scheduled for a U.S. release on January 15, 2013.
The "Crossfire Hurricane" DVD/Blu-ray was No. 1 on the U.K. Music Video sales chart in the DVD/Blu-ray's first two weeks of release, according to the U.K.'s Official Charts Company. The U.K. release of "Crossfire Hurricane" was on January 7, 2013. In its third week of release in the U.K., "Crossfire Hurricane" dropped to No. 5.
"Crossfire Hurricane" (directed by Brett Morgen) is the official 50th anniversary documentary of the Rolling Stones. However, the movie focus primarily on the band's first 20 years. Morgen said in interviews that because of the deadline for the movie's release, there wasn't enough time to cover the band's entire history in the film. Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger, who is one of the producers of "Crossfire Hurricane," told USA Today that a "Crossfire Hurricane" sequel is very possible.
In October and November 2012, "Crossfire Hurricane" had a limited (usually one night only) release in cinemas in Europe, Canada and Australia. The movie had its TV premiere in November 2012. (HBO televised the movie in the U.S., while BBC2 had the U.K. TV premiere.)
The current members of the Rolling Stones (Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Ronnie Wood) attended the premieres of "Crossfire Hurricane" in London (on October 18, 2012) and in New York City (on November 13, 2012). Former Rolling Stones members Bill Wyman (bass) and Mick Taylor (guitar) were at the London premiere.
