Mick Jagger's 16-year-old granddaughter Amba Jackson says she's getting married
Is Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger going to become a great-grandfather in a few years? His 16-year-old granddaughter, Amba Jackson, is already telling the media that she and her 17-year-old live-in boyfriend, Frankie Legrange, will be getting married. (The couple is not officially engaged though.)
Amba's mother is Jade Jagger, the daughter of Mick and his first wife Bianca.
Jade, who has never been married, has two daughters with her former boyfriend Piers Jackson: Amba and Assisi, who is now 19. Jade and Piers (who is an artist) were together from 1990 to 1999.
Jade's current partner is Dan Williams (a DJ), whom she has been dating since 2004. In 2009, there were reports that she and Williams got married, but those reports turned out to be false.
Amba commented to the Daily Mail's Richard Kay about her boyfriend Frankie: "I’m in love and we’ll be getting married." She added that Frankie has a great relationship with Jade: ‘They get on marvelously. But apart from Christmas, I haven’t seen Mum much because she’s been out in Goa for months, selling her jewellery on the beach.’
Amba and Frankie (who are both students at Collingham College) met as children in Mustique, where Frankie's father and Mick Jagger each own homes.
Mick became a grandfather at the age of 50 on July 2, 1992, when Assisi was born. Mick turns 69 in 2012, and he prides himself on his youthful image, so he is probably not ready to become a great-grandfather.
