Miles Kane plays The Rolling Stones' songs to warm up with his band.
The singer loves the energy of the legendary rock 'n' roll band and thinks their song 'Doom and Gloom' was the best new track of 2012.
He told music streaming service Spotify: ''I really love that song, I think it's one of their best. I saw them at The O2, the energy [singer, Mick] Jagger has is insane and his voice sounds great.
''We've been jamming it in rehearsals and after a few goes I was feeling it! It's inspiring how on it he still is.''
Miles - also known as one half of The Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner - started his solo career in 2010 with the single 'Inhaler' and hopes his fame can last as long as bands like The Rolling Stones.
He said: ''There's a realisation you're in it for life. You live, sleep and breathe this stuff all the time. You think of songs and touring and ideas and it never ends and I don't want it to ever end.''
Miles also likes The Faces and said that if he had to join any band in history it would be them.
He said: ''I've started reading [singer] Rod [Stewart's] book and it's a great read. There's no moaning in it. Now he just does all the slow songs and the covers, but he's not bothered, he just wants to sing. He's real.''
