Bianca Mick Jagger Ordered To Pay $600,000 In Backdated Rent

Sir Mick Jagger's ex-wife Bianca has been ordered to pay $600,000 (£375,000) in backdated rent after losing a legal battle against her former landlord in New York City.
Jagger was evicted from her rent-stabilised $4,600 (£2,944) a-month Park Avenue apartment of 20 years in 2008 after complaining of water leaks and mould.
Nicaraguan-born Jagger - who also has a home in London - lives in New York on a B2 visa, which requires a "principal, actual dwelling place" outside the United States, meaning she wasn't entitled to a rent-controlled property in the city.
She fought against the bosses at rental agency Katz Park Avenue, who claimed they were owed backdated rental payments for the two decades she lived there, and on Thursday (27Sep12), a state appeals court judge ruled in the company's favour.
Jagger now has to hand over $600,000, as well as legal fees amounting to $343,827 (£214,375), according to the New York Post.
