Rolling Stones Score Glittering Reviews For Glastonbury Festival

Rolling Stones received glittering reviews for their Glastonbury debut
on Saturday night (29.06.13) and have been commended for their energetic
performance.
The rock legends took to the stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset for their first ever performance in the festival's 43-year history, kicking off their historic set in front of 135,000 fans with a lively rendition of 'Jumpin' Jack Flash.'
The British band powered through an energetic two-hour set, which included old classics like 'Brown Sugar' and 'Wild Horses'.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper praised the band - which includes Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts - for their efforts during their energetic performance.
Telegraph music critic Neil McCormick said: ''It was one of the greatest rock and roll sets I've ever seen in my life and I think one of the greatest rock and roll sets Glastonbury has ever seen.''
Festival organiser Michael Eavis was thrilled with the way the weekend went and said The Rolling Stones' performance had made it the ''best festival'' he'd ever seen.
The group enjoyed the VIP treatment during their stay at the EE-sponsored festival, with Mick staying in a luxury £3,000 yurt complete with a king-size bed, mirrors and candles.
