Rolling Stones Skating On Thin Ice After Booking Show At Capitals Arena
The Rolling Stones will have one eye on the ice hockey results as the band's North American tour continues - because they might have to reschedule their newly-announced finale in Washington, D.C. if the city's Capitals keep winning.
But Mick Jagger and his bandmates could be frozen out of the summer gig because it's scheduled for the Verizon Center, where the Washington Capitals play ice hockey - and they've mounted a run for the sport's Stanley Cup.
Tickets for the Stones' new date will go on sale on Monday (13May13), when the Capitals could be on their way to the next round of the playoffs. They currently tie the New York Rangers 2-2 with games scheduled for Friday (10May13) and Sunday (12May13).
If the ice hockey team are still in the NHL Playoffs and drawn at home on 24 June, the Stones will have to reschedule, just like Rihanna did earlier this month (May13) when her recent gig at the Barclays Center in New York was double booked with a Brooklyn Nets home basketball game.
