Steven Tyler Critiques Mick Jagger’s Impersonation of Him on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Steven Tyler watched Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger impersonate him on ‘Saturday Night Live’ last weekend, and says he got it all wrong. “He could have done the ‘yeah yeah yeah!’” Tyler tells Hollywood Life. Jagger played Tyler during a skit called ‘So You Think You Can Dance At An Outdoor Music Festival.’
Tyler’s comments came after the ‘American Idol’ finale on Wednesday night. “I thought he looked good with long hair,” Tyler added. “I’ve always wanted him to grow it back.” As you’ll see in the video below, Jagger wore a silver streaked brunette wig that matched the younger Tyler’s famous locks.
It hardly seems like like this is the beginning of the next great rock and roll feud. Overall, Tyler thought Jagger was funny. In fact his only suggestion was that show should have gone further. “It was good, it was fun,” he admitted. “He could have done the bastard son of Mick Jagger, there have been so many skits.”
Jagger was both host and musical guest during last week’s episode on NBC. While he’d been musical guest before, it’s the first time he’d hosted on his own. Overall reviews of his performance were positive.
