British blues-rockers The Temperance Movement have scored an enviable and intimidating gig as the openers for the Rolling Stones during their June 12 stop at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
The news was announced today in a press release from the Citrus Bowl, along with a quote from the band:
Our band formed on a shared agreement that nobody could ever touch the Rolling Stones. 'Sticky Fingers' alone contains some of the greatest rock 'n' roll performances of all time. To open up for them is an honour beyond all of our expectations and to watch them still killing it is just pure black magic.
Led by vocalist Phil Campbell, The Temperance Movement have previously opened for the Stones on their 2014 tour dates in Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and Dusseldorf. The Rolling Stones' ZIP CODE tour kicks off in San Diego May 24. Tickets for their June 12 show at the Citrus Bowl are still available at rollingstones.com.
