Ronnie Wood's ex-wife Jo says she's writing a tell-all memoir...

Ronnie Wood's ex-wife Jo says she's writing a tell-all memoir

Jo Wood, the second-ex-wife of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, has revealed that she is writing a tell-all memoir.
Jo said in an interview with the London Evening Standard: "I'll always love my ex-husband, but when I look back on stuff, I do think, 'Ooh, what a rotten b*****d he was.' I don't know if he'll ever speak to me again. Oh, he'll be fine. It's the truth. It's not a lie. Maybe he'll realize how well I dealt with him.
"I worry people are going to think, 'What the hell was she doing staying with him? Why the hell didn't she just go?' But I had my family, I had my kids and I always have adored Ronnie."
Jo, a former model whose maiden name is Karslake, got together with Ronnie in 1977, when he was still married to his first wife, Chrissie. (Ronnie and Chrissie divorced in 1978, after seven years of marriage. Chrissie died of a suspected Valium overdose in 2005.) Jo and Ronnie got married in 1985. They have two children together: Leah (born in 1978) and Tyrone (born in 1983). Ronnie's eldest child, Jesse, is from his first marriage. Jo's eldest child is a son named Jamie from a previous relationship.
Ronnie, 65, confessed to plenty of his naughty behavior in his 2007 memoir, "Ronnie." In the book, he talked quite a bit about his drug addiction, which he said got so bad in the 1980s that his Rolling Stones band mate Keith Richards intervened and advised him to go to rehab.
In 2008, Ronnie left Jo for Ekaterina Ivanova, who was an 18-year-old waitress at the time. That relationship ended about a year later, shortly after Ivanova accused Ronnie of domestic abuse. (He was let off with a strong warning by law enforcement.)
In 2009, Jo filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized in 2011. Around the time the divorce was fnalized, Ronnie commented to the media about Jo: "We're great pals."
Jo was a contestant on "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2009. She has launched a skin-care product line called Jo Wood Organics.
In early 2010, Ronnie entered rehab, and he has said in many interviews that he has stayed clean and sober ever since.
Jo, who is 57, says in her London Evening Standard interview that she rarely dates because most of the men she might be interested in dating want to be with women who are younger than she is.
Ronnie is certainly an example of that, since all of his girlfriends since he broke up with Jo have been young enough to be his daughter. He dated polo instructor/student Ana Araujo (who is in her 30s) from January 2010 to October 2011. Ronnie's current main squeeze is theater producer Sally Humphreys (who is in her 30s), whom he has been dating since late 2011.
Jo is not the first ex-wife of a Rolling Stone to write a book, but Jo's will be the first from a Rolling Stone ex-wife to be considered a true "tell-all."
In 1985, "Jerry Hall's Tall Tales" was published, but since Hall was still with Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger at the time, the book did not have unflattering, scandalous stories about Jagger. In 2010, Hall's photo book "Jerry Hall: My Life in Pictures" was published, and since it was a photo book, it did not reveal a lot of written details about the Rolling Stones or Jagger. In 2007, Hall had signed a book deal with HarperCollins to do a tell-all memoir, but the deal was reportedly canceled when HarperCollins decided there weren't enough scandalous stories in the book manuscript.
The current lady loves of Jagger, Richards and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts have never written a tell-all memoir. And it's unlikely that they ever will as long as they are still in their long-term, committed relationships.
Jagger has been with his live-in girlfriend, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, since 2001. When Scott does interviews, she has a policy not to talk about Jagger.
Richards and former supermodel Patti Hansen have been married since 1983. Hansen will talk about Richards in interviews, but she has not expressed interest in writing a memoir.
Watts and his wife, Shirley, have been married since 1964. Watts is a rare celebrity who has only been married once, in a marriage that has lasted for close to 50 years. Shirley has deliberately stayed out of the media spotlight throughout the marriage.
