Ronnie Wood to get another daughter-in-law: Jesse Wood proposes to Fearne Cotton
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, 66, is going to have Fearne Cotton as a new daughter-in-law. On Dec. 11, 2013, Cotton (a British TV/radio personality) posted on her official Twitter account: "I'm over the moon to tell you that on Sunday Jesse proposed and I happened to say Yes."
Cotton and Jesse Wood (Ronnie's eldest child) have been dating since 2011. They have not yet set the wedding date.
On Dec. 12, 2013, Ronnie Wood tweeted this reaction to the engagement: "So happy for my son @JesseWood & @Fearnecotton on their engagement ~ congratulations :)."
On Feb. 21, 2013, Jesse Wood and Cotton, announced the birth of their son, Rex Rayne Wood.
Rex is 31-year-old Cotton's first child and Jesse's third. Cotton announced on Twitter on Feb. 21, 2013: “Jesse and I are over the moon to announce the arrival of Rex Rayne Wood born on the 21.2.13. Beyond in love."
Jesse, 35, is a musician and model whose other two children (10-year-old Arthur and 6-year-old Lola) are with his ex-wife, Catherine "Tilly" Boone Wood, whom he was married to from 2003 to 2011.
Cotton was previously engaged to skateboarder Jesse Jenkins, but they broke up in 2011. She began dating Jesse Wood later that year.
On August 8, 2012, Cotton announced her pregnancy with this tweet: "Jesse and I have some news!!!!" The tweet had a link to a blog post from Cotton that read: "Jesse and I are very happy to announce we are having a baby. We are over the moon, morning sickness aside (me not Jess) and looking forward to the little Cotton Woods arrival."
Ronnie's other grandchildren also include Maggie Dylan McDonald, who is the 3-year-old daughter of Ronnie's 34-year-old daughter, Leah, and Leah's husband, Jack McDonald. Ronnie's 38-year-old stepson, Jamie, has three children.
Ronnie and his kids and his wife Sally will no doubt attend the wedding of Cotton and Jesse Wood. But will any of the other Rolling Stones be there? Keith Richards and members of his family attended the 2008 wedding of Leah Wood, so we'll have to wait and see if any of the other Rolling Stones besides Ronnie will be at Jesse's wedding.
