Ronnie Wood's Pregnant Wife Left Stones Tour Over Zika Virus Concerns...

The veteran guitarist and his theatre producer wife Sally announced their baby news in December (15), confirming they are expecting twins in January (16).
Ronnie has been on the road with the Stones for their America Latina Ole shows since the start of February (16), and while 38-year-old Sally was keen to stay by her man's side, she decided to head home over the weekend (19-21Feb16), when the group touched down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the mosquito-borne virus outbreak originated.
Medical experts have warned pregnant women to stay away from areas affected by the virus, which can cause abnormal brain development in unborn babies.
Ronnie, 68, revealed the health concern in a Twitter update to fans on Sunday (21Feb16), when he also revealed they are having twin daughters.
"My wife @sallywood has not been 'sent home' from the @rollingstones tour," he tweeted. "Our twins come first and we decided the Zika virus & excessive flying was too dangerous for them."
"Our baby GIRLS are growing beautifully," he added. "Thank you for the love!"
The couple wed in 2012 after a whirlwind romance.
The twins will be Ronnie and Sally's first kids. He also has four adult children from his previous marriages to late model Krissy Findlay and second wife Jo Wood.
