Rolling
Stones Rockers Sir Mick Jagger And Ronnie Wood Released A Charity
Single On Tuesday (05may15) To Raise Funds For Those Affected By The
Nepal Earthquake.
The stars donated their time for free to record Look into Your Heart
at London's iconic Abbey Road Studios with a choir made up of 100
supporters from the Save the Children charity, who bid for the
opportunity to sing with the Stones at auction.
They recruited pop star Beverley Knight to sing with the choir, while the rockers play guitar and cover the backing vocals.
The track, which was produced by Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, was released online in the U.K. on Tuesday and all proceeds will be donated to Save the Children's Nepal Earthquake Appeal, which was created after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Nepal at the end of April (15).
Knight says, "The terrible events in Nepal show just how vulnerable our fellow man can be in the face of nature. My hope is that the proceeds of this song will go some way to help raise urgently needed funds to repair homes and restore lives."
More than 7,000 were killed in the disaster.
