Rolling Stones reschedule opening date of 2013 tour; rehearsals continue in L.A.

On April 23, 2013, the Rolling Stones announced that they had to reschedule the opening date of their 2013 tour, due to the NBA playoff schedule. The tour will still begin at the Staples Center in Los Angeles but will now take place on May 3 instead of May 2. The announcement noted that tickets purchased for the May 2 concert can be used for the May 3 concert.
The Rolling Stones have been making tour announcements on their official Internet outlets, such as their website, Twitter account and Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones have been rehearsing for the tour on weekdays in the Los Angeles area since April 15, 2013. They are expected to do at least one "surprise warm-up show" at a Los Angeles nightclub before the end of April 2013. The Rolling Stones don't announce their surprise shows until the day of the show, so fans should keep checking the Rolling Stones' website, Twitter account and Facebook page for the announcement. Tickets for these surprise nightclub shows must be bought in person, and there is a limit to how many tickets one person can buy.
As previously reported, the Rolling Stones have announced several concerts so far for 2013: a North American tour of indoor arenas, as well as massive outdoor shows in England. Mick Taylor, who was the Rolling Stones' lead guitarist from 1969 to 1974, will be a special guest at all of the concerts.
Taylor has been at Rolling Stones' rehearsals for the tour. In an April 2013 interview on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards said that Taylor will be playing on more than on or two songs at each concert.
Due to popular demand, the Rolling Stones have added several dates to their 2013 tour. So far, dates have been added in London, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Boston and Montreal.
Pre-sale tickets for the Rolling Stones' 2013 North American tour can be purchased through Citi's Private Pass® Program. For complete pre-sale details, visit http://www.citiprivatepass.com.
General sale tickets, which are available a few days after the pre-sale tickets, can be purchased at the official Rolling Stones website or Ticketmaster.
