As gene pools go, Georgia May Jagger hails from one of the most prestigious. With dad, Mick Jagger, front man of world-famous band the Rolling Stones, and mum, Jerry Hall, the leggy Texan supermodel and sometime actress batting for her team, this girl was never going to lead a pedestrian life. Nor would she be short on striking looks or star quality.

As the successful young model - who got her start after being photographed by David Bailey at the age of 14 - graces the cover of, and a 10-page fashion story inside Harper's Bazaar, mum Jerry sat down for a chat about bringing up Georgia May and keeping her grounded in the spotlight.

"Growing up a Jagger wasn't always easy for her, "she explains, "She didn't like it if I turned up at school all made-up. She preferred me to be wearing no make-up and tracksuit bottoms, like the other mums. She didn't like Dad picking her up in a fancy car, either."

Though model looks run in the family (sister Lizzie famously starred as the face of M&S), it's the petite, gap-toothed Georgia May who is making the most waves after being introduced to the business by her mother.

"When Georgia was 14, I asked David Bailey to take her picture. It was her first studio shoot. She was still in school, so she didn't think much of it (and I think she found David quite intimidating). But then she got asked to do another shoot, for a magazine, and afterwards she said, 'Oh my God, that was so much fun. I loved it. It was like acting'."

So what is the secret of keeping a child star on the straight and narrow? Simple:

"Georgia saw Keith and Ronnie in action and I think that put her off a bit. I think she thought, 'Oh God, I don't want to be like that'."

Beauty and brains, a killer combination.

Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart used to play Marvin Gaye records to be ''romantic'' with their girlfriends.

Ronnie Wood used to play Marvin Gaye records to be "romantic" with his girlfriends.

The 64-year-old rocker and his former Faces bandmate Rod Stewart shared a love of Motown music when they shared a house together and admits the "moving" songs were key to the success of some of their early relationships.

Introducing music on his Absolute Radio show, Ronnie said: "Coming up next I've got Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. When I used to live with Rod Stewart back in the old days we used to listen to this album when it first came out and it was a really big influence, along with Sam Cooke and all the records we used to listen to, Otis Redding and all that, Sam and Dave.

"Marvin and Tammi were very moving, and our first girlfriends, we used to get all romantic and play this song, 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', to them."

The Rolling Stones guitarist also revealed his brothers were his biggest influences on his two main interests, music and art, when he was growing up.

He said: "My brothers were a great influence on me when I was little. Ted was the jazzer and Art was the blues-er and R'n'B-er, and I took great leaves out of their book, and they were both artists as well as musicians, like I am, and if they played, I played, and if they painted, I painted."

Though he had the support of his brothers when he made his live musical debut, Ronnie admits to being filled with nerves beforehand.

He added: "The first time I ever got on stage I was a very nervous boy, I got butterflies in my tummy backstage, and it was at a cinema between two Tommy Steel films, and I went on with my brothers' Candy Bison Skiffle Group and I played washboard, and I got a big round of applause, local boy makes good."

Jerry Hall: 'Georgia Is A Sexy Model'

Jerry Hall believes her daughter Georgia May Jagger is a great model because she has accepted what is unique about her looks.

Jerry Hall thinks her daughter Georgia May Jagger is an "incredibly sexy" model.

The blonde star - who had the 20 year old with rocker Mick Jagger - believes her child is a great model because she has "accepted" who she is and always embraced her unusual features.

She said: "The last couple of modelling jobs I did were with Georgia, like the H&M campaign we did together last year, so she's given me a bit of a revival. It was great to work with her; I think she's incredibly sexy.

"One of the best things about her is that gap in her teeth. She never fixed it. It's all about that acceptance of the way you are - and she understands that."

However, she reveals her daughter used to be embarrassed when she used to pick her up from school in full make-up and designer clothes.

She told the UK's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "Georgia didn't like it if I turned up at school all made-up. She preferred me to be wearing no make-up and tracksuit bottoms, like the other mums.

"She didn't like Dad picking her up in a fancy car, either. We used to go and visit Mick all over the world on his tours."

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood is invading American airwaves. The musical legend has finally brought his one-hour radio show, ‘The Ronnie Wood Show,’ which is based in the U.K., to our fine shores.

The show hit American airwaves in New York City on Sunday, Jan. 29, according to RTT. The program aired on Q104.3/WAXQ-FM in Manhattan. The show routinely features Wood playing a mix of current and classic tunes, and sharing stories about the artists he has had the honor and privilege of encountering and experiencing during his long, illustrious and storied career, such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others. Wood often extends invites to friends and fellow musicians to sit in with him and to go on air.

In a statement, Wood expressed extreme delight about finally landing in America with his radio show. It read as follows:

“I’m so excited to have my own radio show in America. I love going down the archives every week playing some of my favorite music of all time, while reminiscing and taking a trip down memory lane. It’s more than a music show, it’s an education, so sit back and enjoy the ride!”

In other recent Rolling Stones news, the band recently issued the second of their online archive concert series albums, this one featuring Wood and his bandmates performing in support of 1981′s ‘Tattoo You’

The Rolling Stones have issued the second concert from the Rolling Stones Archives, an official online portal to ”listen to unheard music, view unseen photographs and films, and look at rare merchandise” that the band created late last year. The latest offering, which was posted online today (Jan. 31), is ‘Hampton Coliseum: Live 1981,’ a digital-only collection that documents the band’s Dec. 18, 1981, concert at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.

The concert, which took place on the final leg of the Stones’ tour in support of their ‘Tattoo You’ album, has been frequently bootlegged, but this version offers remixed sound that’s reportedly very different than the bootleg versions. The 26-song set list features ‘Tattoo You’ tunes like ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Hang Fire’ and ‘Waiting on a Friend,’ Stones classics like ‘Brown Sugar,’ ‘Satisfaction’ and ’You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ and even a few Motown covers, including Smokey Robinson and the Miracles’ ‘Going to a Go Go’ and the Temptations’ ‘Just My Imagination.’

Although ’Hampton Coliseum’ was released today, as of press time it hasn’t yet been posted on the Stones Archives. It can, however, be purchased for $4.99 for the whole thing (or 99 cents per track) at Android Market. The first Archives release, a 1973 show titled ‘The Brussels Affair,’ dropped in November.
