Paul Mccartney Told To Let It Be Quiet

Two council workers visited Sir Paul McCartney's London wedding reception on Sunday evening (09.10.11) to ask him to keep the noise down.

Sir Paul McCartney was ordered to turn the volume down at his wedding reception.

Two members of the local council were called to the former Beatles legend's north London mansion on Sunday evening (09.10.11) as he celebrated his nuptials with new wife Nancy Shevell and around 100 guests following the ceremony at Marylebone Register Office earlier in the day.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "It did raise a laugh when the two gentlemen rang the door bell and insisted it was time to settle things down. It could have been 1968 all over again."

DJ Mark Ronson was in charge of the disco at the star-studded event - which was attended by Kate Moss and husband Jamie Hince, as well as Ronnie Wood, David Gilmour and Jeff Beck - and he played a number of Beatles classics and some of The Rolling Stones' greatest hits as the party went on until 3am.

Andrew Ralph, head of noise and licensing at Westminster Council, confirmed the council workers visited a house in the area to ask for the noise to be toned down following a complaint.

He said: "A complaint was received about an address in St John's Wood. Officers visited and the volume was reduced. No further action is being taken."

Paul's son James took on the Best Man duties at the reception and paid tribute to his father, who was marrying for the third time.

He explained: "Dad and I have been great friends ever since he first asked me to join The Beatles."

During the wedding ceremony the 51-year-old heiress wore a long-sleeved dress in Ivory silk - which was designed by Paul's fashion designer daughter Stella McCartney - and was presented with a Neil Lane eternity diamond ring featuring five carats of square-cut diamonds set in platinum by Paul.

The celebrity jeweler explained the band was created to "complement" her engagement ring - a five-plus-carat, flawless diamond art-deco ring which he also designed - "but not overshadow it".

He added to People.com: "Nancy wanted a band with a vintage feel.

"Paul is an artist. When we worked on the engagement ring, he took it seriously and was into the stones, shapes and styles - like a kid in a candy store. I could see him imagining what it would look like on Nancy's finger."

Stone slept in studio to record SuperHeavy album

British soul singer JOSS STONE was forced to sleep in the studio while recording her new SUPERHEAVY project with SIR MICK JAGGER - because the busy stars couldn't afford any downtime.

The pair teamed up with former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart, Bob Marley's son Damian, and composer A.R. Rahman to form the supergroup, but they were so pressed for time, Stone decided to turn the recording studio into her makeshift home.

Jagger tells People magazine, "We set up two blocks of 10 days in a room together, no downtime. Joss slept in the studio. I came in one day and said, 'Joss, wake up! Have some coffee!'"

The Rolling Stones frontman insists the intense music-making sessions for their self-titled album worked out well, although not every day was as smooth as others.

He adds, "Everyone was encouraged to put their ideas on the table and not be shy. Of course, not everything was brilliant. But it was really cool."

Wood, Emin And Walters Join Sir Paul Mccartney's Wedding Party

Sir Paul Mccartney's wedding to Nancy Shevell attracted a star-studded crowd, with Ronnie Wood, Tracey Emin and Barbara Walters all turning out for the reception.

The Beatles legend married the American heiress on Sunday (09Oct11) at London's Westminster registry office at The Old Marylebone Town Hall - the same venue where MCCartney married his first wife, Linda.

Close friends and family attended the service, and after the marriage, the newlyweds retreated to MCCartney's St John's Wood home for the reception, greeting the press outside, with the musician telling reporters, "It has been a wonderful, terrific day, I feel married."

A marquee was erected in the grounds of the mansion, and fridges full of champagne and hundreds of roses were brought in for the party, which attracted the likes of Rolling Stone Wood, artist Emin and U.S. newswoman Walters.

Other guests included Sixties supermodel Twiggy, hair guru John Frieda, and musician/ TV host Jools Holland.

MCCartney has been married twice before - his first wife, Linda, died of cancer in 1998, and the star divorced Heather Mills in 2008. Shevell has been married once before.

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was among the guests at Paul McCartney's wedding to Nancy Shevell. The ceremony took place at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on October 9, 2011. Other celebrities at the event included Ringo Starr, Twiggy, Barbara Walters (who is a second cousin of Shevell's) and Jools Hollland. Shevell is McCartney's third wife. He was married to Linda McCartney from 1969 to 1998, when she died of breast cancer. His second marriage to Heather Mills, which lasted from 2002 to 2008, ended in a bitter divorce.

For anyone who cares, Wood attended the wedding with a young, attractive brunette who was not Ana Araujo. Araujo has been Wood's girlfriend/constant companion since 2010, but she was not with Wood at the event. The brunette who was Wood's date at the wedding has not yet been identified by the media.

On October 2, 2011, Wood accompanied Pattie Boyd (the late George Harrison's first wife) to the London premiere of the documentary film "George Harrison: Living in the Material World." Araujo wasn't at that event either. Considering that Araujo has been with Wood at almost every celebrity event that he has attended since he and Araujo began dating in 2010, it makes you wonder if their relationship is over or experiencing some major problems. Wood hasn't publicly revealed one way or the other what the current status of his relationship is with Araujo.

Keith Richards rolled into TriBeCa’s Canal Room on Wednesday night [October 5, 2011] to support his pal, New Orleans crooner Ivan Neville, and a benefit for the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation. A spy said Richards invited Neville to join him in his studio the next day. The Stones star, wearing a fedora, a scarf and a red motorcycle jacket, hung in a booth with friends. Also playing were the Radiators’ Dave Malone and Camile Baudoin and Tony Hall.

Neville, a son of Aaron Neville, has been associated with Richards and the Rolling Stones for several years. Ivan Neville played keyboards on the Rolling Stones albums "Dirty Work" (1986) and "Voodoo Lounge" (1994), and he has been a member of the X-Pensive Winos (Richards' solo band) since the late 1980s. Richards has reportedly been working with Ivan Neville on new songs, which Richards has said in interviews could end up on the next Richards solo album with the X-Pensive Winos.
